MORE ABOUT ME
I grew up in Virginia Beach with two older brothers and a younger sister, and that environment shaped me more than I realized at the time. Growing up near the water had a great influence on my life, there's a lot of open space, room to breathe, and I think that naturally found its way into how I approach design.
From a young age soccer was a constant, I've played my whole life and competition became something I understood deeply pretty early on. I always wanted to be the best player on the field, not in an arrogant way, just in the way where settling never felt like an option. That mindset forever followed me. I've always loved video games, skating and snowboarding. Video games fed the same part of my brain, I wasn't just playing, I was studying, finding edges, and obsessing over what separated good players from great ones. Skateboarding and snowboarding were a different kind of challenge. No opponents, no scoreboard, just you and something you haven't figured out yet. You fall, you figure out why, and you go again until it clicks. That kind of persistence is something I carry into everything I do.
Design is where all of that lands. I approach it like a game I'm determined to master. I want to understand a problem deeper than anyone else in the room, explore it from every angle, and keep pushing until the work actually holds up. What keeps me invested is that there's no final level. The craft keeps expanding, the standard keeps rising, and honestly that's what I love about it.
